| I currently live in a very humid environment. I decided to get a Sunpentown mini dehumidifier after having some problems with mold in one of my closets. I had been wiping them down with bleach but it would still come back because it is just so humid here. After buying this and putting it in my closet I'm having no problems. It's only been a few weeks but if it wasn't working I would have noticed by now. It's very quite. My bed is right next to my closet and I can't hear it. It's also the perfect size. Since it is smaller I have to empty it every two or three days but that doesn't bother me at all. Is quiet enough and attractive in design. I bought this to try instead of installing an expensive bathroom ventilation system to keep down mold and paint peeling. This is a great crawl space dehumidifier! Highly recommended! |

| I put this in my 10 x 20 bathroom that is separated from my bedroom by a ventless gas fireplace. The moisture in the winter was enough that the humidity level was ranging around 70% which meant towels didn't dry and everything got musty and moldy even though we do have an exhaust fan in there. This Sunpentown dehumidifier did the trick. It takes out about 2 cups of water a week and that keeps the humidity at about 50% to 65% (after we take a shower) and no more mold or damp towels. I know some complained of a hot power converter but mine has been running 24/7 for months now and mine has never been anything but barely warm. |

| It could be considered noisy I guess but I like the white noise that it gives off and it doesn't have appeared to hurt my electric bill at all like my big dehumidifiers do. Rationale against conventional room dehumidifier: didn't want to spend $150-200 for a heavy mechanically complicated object that may get damaged in transit, with no recourse except to bicker with Bionaire/Soleus/Amazon service reps, that may or may not arrive as a lemon (per some of the reviews), and deal with a 2-foot tall 40 pound object which is likely going to be loud and suck up significant electricity.
This is a real value and does a fine job.

| I bought this dehumidifier for my small bathroom, which has no windows or vents. The walls were always wet from the shower and none of my towels ever dried. After I began to use this bathroom dehumidifier, everything in my bathroom was dry. It is also pretty quiet. I wouldn't give up this little machine for anything!
